Biography

Michael Swaney (Kimberley, Canada 1978) studied illustration and design in Vancouver and was a member of the Humanfive Collective, a group of four Canadian artists who worked collaboratively between 2000 and 2007. Since 2006 he has lived and worked in Barcelona, Spain. Recent solo shows include Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects (Toronto, 2008), Iguapop Gallery (Barcelona, 2009), Victor Saavedra Gallery (Barcelona, 2010), Alice Gallery, (Brussels, 2011) and Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts Project Room (Miami, 2011). In 2008 he participated in the Fountainhead Residency, Miami.
