Group Show
Outlines

From 21/05/05 to 29/05/05

These are not times for art to sit and wait for museums. In the era of shifting artistic movements one must look for new expression in the very place in which it is created. In the age of mutating aesthetics and morphing institutions, members of the Square Studio have decided to present for the first time in Barcelona a collective exhibition of their work.

Square Studio is a creative cell originally formed in London with contributions from young artists from differing backgrounds. Since last year it's been based in Barcelona, a city whose rich, vibrant cultural scene offers the chance of a new creative stage. In this first group show Katherine Di Turi, Piers Veness and Enrique Doza Romero will be exhibiting their most recent work in the very space where it was conceived for two weekends (20 – 22 and 26 – 28 May). In the show the three artists reflect on the movements and textures of line linked by their use of “natural” phenomena as a means of inspiration. In this context of the fusion of techniques and media the artists have chosen (monumental) Outlines as the title.
